Our family runned business, consisting of three restored, freestanding stone houses built between the 12th and 15th Century, is located in a peaceful and idyllic site, surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and woodland. The nearest town is Strada in Chianti, just 2 km away. Florence is 12 km distant. At your disposal you will find a well cared for garden with a vegetable patch as well as a community used pool ( 12 x 6 m, 1.40m deep ) with a beautiful panoramic view on the surrounding hills.
The pool area includes a sun terrace with sun chaises, a shady sitting area as well as an outside shower. Our holiday houses, Giardino, Loggia and Corte are built in tuscan style and set up with several classic pieces of furniture. During relaxing walks in and around our 4 hectare property it is possible to allow yourself to swing both mind and soul.
Hart of the estate is the tower, which dates from the 12th century. In the past the property belonged one of the oldest churches in the chianti, the church of Sant´Ilario. In the 15th century, during the Renaissance, the monk residence was developed and enlarged. During the II World War the tower was hardly damaged and after again lovingly restored with old typical stones.
The Loggia was once an open hutch, witness of this the 88 years old wooden beams. Inside the inner courtyard there is an old wood-burning stove, which is still being used nowadays.
